"Eastbound and Down" to Wilmington: "You're (bleep)in' out!

"Eastbound and Down" won't be returning to Wilmington to film its second season. Bad news for us, but it really does seem klike a creative decision, not a financial one. The show will be set in Mexico, so they are moving filming to Puerto Rico. Here are some details: http://tv.blogs.starnewsonline.com/12244/eastbound-down-moves-season-2-production-to-puerto-rico/?tc=arSee More

Buzz and rumors for 2010

So, the new incentives are in place, which means we're supposed to be flooded with new work, right? But so far, there have justr been rumors (Vampire Diaries will move here! MTV's Teen Wolf will film here!) that haven't come true. We're hearing some other positive buzz (perhaps a new Nicholas Sparks project?) but it is all conjecture at this point.Of course, conjecture is fun to talk about....What have you all heard? Do you think we've missed the boat? That the incentives were too little too…See More

About Me

Howdy all! I've been in the Port City since 2000, and the thriving film community here is one of the big reasons I've stayed so long. The city might be small but our reach is huge, thanks to the many shows and films that are shot here. I let folks like Amy Hotz do most of the writing about the local industry, but I am a member of the Television Critics Association and love talking to folks who make the magic happen.

Took a long break from work. Got a bit burned out. Now I'm slowly getting back into things: Aauditioning (I now have an agent!) and working as a part time actress (dinner theatre, Henrietta tours, etc), reading (Alot!), gardening and getting some commissions for doing pet portraits. Living an artists life. Kinda nice. How about you?

Coca-Cola ad contest details

Got this press release from Coke today. Thought I'd pass it on:

If it’s been your dream to star in a Coca-Cola ad, the wait may finally be over. A new commercial, called the ‘Sounds of Coca-Cola,’ will feature real people demonstrating their personal renditions of the distinct sounds that occur every time someone opens a Coke and Opens Happiness.

People may speak different languages, but everyone understands the universal language of Coca-Cola. It’s the “ahh” sound you make… Continue

Anyone remember "The Road Home"?

Hey everybody. The StarNews is trying to verify that a TV pilot filmed here in 1994 (or 1993) called "The Road Home." It starred Frances Sternhagen and Karen Allen. Sound familiar to anybody?
