Louisiana bumps TAX CREDIT to 30 and makes it Permanent.

As of 7:30am this morning, it was announced that Louisiana made their tax credits permanent, with no expiration clause.

In the fall, their tax credit will rise to 30% from 25%.

So again North Carolina will fall behind in the tax wars, seeing that we were fighting for 25% and before it even gets approved, other states are already advancing even higher.

As of RIGHT THIS MOMENT, there are 18 movies/tv shows in pre-production, production, and post production in Louisiana.

A producer in Michigan has also dropped over $200 Million dollars to build a full service studio, larger than EUE/Screen Gems. This is being built in a state where the tax credit is now 40%.
