North Carolina student filmmakers arrested after shooting a sex scene in public

I thought some of you, particularly students, would find this article from the Chronicle of Higher Education pretty interesting.
According to the article, some UNC-Chapel Hill student filmmakers were filming in Myrtle Beach, S.C. - but they didn't notify officials about what they were doing.
Police responded to reports from tourists that a woman was seen performing oral sex on a man under a pier. When they arrived, they found the film crew. However, all eight crew members and actors were arrested and charged with "participating in or preparation of obscene material, a misdemeanor punished by up to a year in jail," the article said.
A representative from the UNC system said UNC had no link to the independent film the students were filming. The dean of the filmmaking school at UNC School of the Arts said the students failed to follow professional protocols, the article said.
